The magnificent.

I love her, though the books are not the best I ever read. Saphira is my favorite dragon and I keep rereading the series only because of her :) She is the most "alive" person in the vast crowd of blank and so very "lawful good" characters such as her rider, whom I, honestly, hate sometimes.
Also, I can see now, why riding her without a saddle causes only pain, suffering and gore. Look at those scales!

I'm planning to draw all five dragons of the cicle, or even six, including Umaroth, Vrael's dragon, because he was white and I love to paint white :)

This is much more close to how I see her than most of the other artworks.

This makes me want to learn how to draw dragon anatomy (something i am completely terrible at)

I love Saphira, too!  One of the best series I've ever read, actually. Also, I think you should put this drawing in critics because, just- well... wow.

I thought Umaroth was gold? Or am I forgetting which one you're talking about? The white dragon was the first one to ever have a Rider.

Nope. I once again fail at Inheritance. Let me go cry in a corner in shame.

I remembered who is Umaroth only by reading the wiki :) There are too many strange names in this books. You don't want to know, how russian translaters slaughtered ancient language and all the names. I mean, the language itself is not the most pleasant, it's just a bunch of english words with replaced leters and another bunch of very heavy constructions with freaking seventeen consonants in a row, but still russian translation sucks. I'm reading original now, and it far better. It was a revelation for me to know, that elven queen is actually Islanzadi, not Imiladris. I don't even know where did they find it. Maybe it's her informal name, I didn't read far enough to see still, or maybe they just invented it for better sounding.
